Accrue’s 1st Sunglasses Collection was created using the motif of influential 20th Century visual artists.

As sunglasses have more stylized design elements than eye glasses, we emphasized their aesthetics using visuals

from structures & the color of Fine Art.

We focused on the fact that people perceive colors through light, and since sunglasses block light, we named sunglasses with this irony in mind.

Accrue’s motto, “Wear Inspired” is the tireless belief that wearing Accrue becomes an eternal inspiration to life.

Kandinsky (Wassily Kandinsky)

The features of Kandinsky art are synesthetic which give you feels of

music melody. It expends the variety with the dynamic and abstract expressions which are only expressed by form and colored lines.

Accrue from Kandinsky has harmony of curved lines, figures and lines

with the color, which helps you to wear inspired by light wear.

Rene (René Magritte)

In the René Magritte arts,

there are lot of gentlemen’s faces with suit and hat.

René had designed as he had thought the best sunglasses that would

fit the gentleman’s face.

By applying the grotesque atmosphere’s background color to the lens,

it gave the mysterious feeling and emphasized the design by using thick rim.

Indiana (Robert Indiana )

Robert Indiana showed the positive message such as love and hope

through his arts.

Not only for contents but also for structure or color,

he expressed the dynamic and positive feelings.

Indiana’s Accrue has simple and concise design with vibrant colors finishing at the top part of sunglasses, which showed Robert Indiana’s design to the sunglasses.

Dali (Salvador Dali)

Salvador Dali’s arts are dream-like and lonely, so when you look at it,

it makes you feel that you are beyond the reality.

By applying omitting method, which is often shown in Dali’s arts,

to the sunglasses, it was designed as upside rimless frame with only below rim.

Also by applying the feelings of color from Dali’s arts to the sunglasses,

it gave mysterious atmosphere and formalized the light and illusioned inspiration through light weight.

Jackson (Jackson Pollock)

Inspired by Jackson Pollock’s action paintings, it used strong and

outstanding sheet which is specially customized to show the unintended naturalness.

Also, based on the internal minds which are the reason for this type of art,

it showed the unconsciousness at the below frame and showed that expression through above frame to express the dichotomous ego.

Basquiat (Jean Michel Basquiat)

Jean Michel Basquiat is the person that sublimated the graffiti to art.

His intense and sensuous simplicity is represented in the drawing,

and we maximized the unique features using a bold frame to animate

the unique and kitschy feeling.

Edward (Edward Hopper)

When looking at Edward Hopper’s arts,

it gives the silence beyond the time.

He expressed the combination of frame and lens through

shade effect from light, and formalized the effect of gaze toward the single point through concise design, which makes you feel the loneliness of modern people.

Frida (Frida Kahlo)

Frida Kahlo’s life is impressive as his arts.

He used mirror lens by thinking of her drawing portrait as looking at

her crushed body and devastated heart through the mirror and expressed

the beauty with eye browse-like frame for expressing her strong determination.

Matisse (Henri Matisse)

It was designed with the motive of complanation and simplification

from Henri Matisse.

As his famous comments, ‘What I dream of is an art of balance,’

since it is balanced, pure and silent, it nurtures people’s hearts and

has the classic and comfortable design.

By having the drop value at the end of frame, it added the balance and finished up simply

with the metal temple’s combination.

Warhol (Andy Warhol)

Andy Warhol is the pioneer of pop art and the icon for modern art.

Through silk screen, despite the same person with the same image,

by giving distribution and colors, people can read the art’s expression

and feel new atmosphere.

It was designed with the color that can be used from the sunglasses that Andy Warhol might wear.
